This site belongs to me, Pavan Tumati, and is mostly dedicated to the discussion of technical topics (such as open source programming projects).  In general, I work at the intersection of statistics and high-performance computing.  I mostly work with R, Python, and C++.  I primarily use computers to datamine various mathematical relationships that are present in social phenomenon.

Historically, I was interested in technology for the sake of technology.  Over time, my attitude shifted to seeing technology as more of a means to assist others.  I  believe that much of the tech world is where it is today because of acts of kindness and altruism.  My goal is to continue making contributions to technology in the spirit of altruism.

This site was mostly inspired by the online presence of other developers, such as Nasko Oskov (security researcher) and Jeff Kramer (roboticist).  I enjoy reading the observations of people in the trenches who’re actively looking to improve technology or make the world a better place.  My hope is that I can join them in adding value to the tech-ecosystem.

At some point I should organize my social media stuff with fancy logos and buttons, but for now I guess the links below will suffice.  Social Media:
